Those are pretty huge calves and neck muscles.

Looks like an oceanic type of fish typically found in warmer climates.

Beauiful picture and Alex looks like he was having a good time!

I love his swimmer's calves.
No idea what I was going for with the fish; some species I just made up at random. So long as it looked fat and yummy >83
:iconleahtaur:
Otters have thick necks anyway, and some of his calves could be fur too. :P

You have such nice atmospheric effects going here, lots of shafts of sunlight and motes of dust... did you paint the background somewhat simply and then blur it out with a filter of some sort? It looks luscious. :)

This is amazing! You are very good with water!

Very good color and lighting

I worked from three photos as my references. First I blocked in the colours with a large hard round brush with dynmics set and wet edges (pen tilt is best as opposed to pen pressure in this case).

Then I duplicated the layer and added a guassain blur, mode set to screen. I reduced the opacity of this layer until I had a soft glow effect. I liked what I saw, merged, then added an artistic filter for extra texture (paint daubs).

Then I added a few more layers set to colour, adding differnt tints to bring out the depth (cool blues for the futhest points, warmer yellows for the closest).

He's going to need a bigger spear XD
